OFFICIAL HILODAYS DURING 2010
The date is the key factor in every event organization.
The choice of a suitable date for the event you are planning is not only a starting point in its preparation but also the key element for its execution. It is important to bear in mind the official holidays during 2010 and especially the dates which have been declared as officially non-working dates. These are namely the following:
April 2-5, 2010 - Easter holiday
May 6-9, 2010 - St. George’s day and May holiday (Saturday May 15, 2010 is going to be a working day)
December 31, 2010 – New Year’s Eve (Saturday December 11, 2010 is going to be a working day)
The event itself is crucial for the choice of a suitable month and date – when you plan a team-building you would most probably prefer a warm month with pleasant temperatures range but not during your employees’ annual leave. It is a good idea not to plan the team-building for the weekend, for your employees would rather spend some time with their families after the working week and would be glad if you offer them a short Friday “getaway” at the end of the working day. However, it is up to your employer to decide whether such a whim would not disrupt the working process too much.
If you plan an official event and you would like to invite your clients, partners and colleagues from other companies, try to avoid organizing the event on Friday because people often plan their leave of absence and trips for this day. The beginning of the week is also not recommended, for it is the time when internal company’s meetings are scheduled, important negotiations are conducted, or other activities, important to your guests are launched.
Paying attention to religious and traditional Bulgarian holidays, as well as informing yourself about the official holidays in other countries could seem a boring necessity but your efforts would no doubt be rewarded at the end not only by a greater number of guests attending your event, but also by those who are of particular importance to your business.
